Concept:A quirky RPG combining word puzzles like Wordle with dungeon-delving gameplay.
Story:Players conjure 4-letter limbs after a spell backfires, battling a limb-less sorcerer.
Role:Worked as a freelancer on this multi-year passion project with several milestones.
Twist:The evil sorcerer is revealed to be the limb-less son of the town wizard, Krundly.

Role

Project Management

Oversaw a multi-year development cycle, coordinating team efforts and ensuring deadlines were met. Managed task breakdowns and conducted regular check-ins to maintain steady progress. Utilized Trello to organize and track daily project tasks, ensuring seamless workflow management and team alignment.

Provided the client with the deliverables and maintained timely contact withthe client to ensure it was to their liking.

Collaborated with the team to define milestone objectives and establish a clear division of tasks at the start of the milestone according to the client’s agreeance.

QA Testing

Conducted extensive playtesting to fine-tune difficulty and word lists. Logged, tracked, and resolved bugs to ensure smooth gameplay. Evaluated pacing and progression to maintain a cohesive and entertaining experience.

Game Design

Balanced gameplay difficulty to provide a rewarding yet challenging experience. Worked closely with the client to align game mechanics with their love of word games and dungeon crawlers.

Examples of the appendages (abilities) we had to implement according to the client’s vision. Found placeholders and final assets like SFX, animations, and character models that match the project needs.

Tracked all the projects our team was working on while freelancing and assigned the developers and due dates according to the project requirements as provided by our team lead.
