Concept:A 2D farming sim blending Rimworld's strategy, Factorio's creativity, and Stardew Valley's charm with a sci-fi twist
Story:Play as Gregor, an alien crash-landed on Earth, using genetics to improve crops and livestock.
Gameplay:Breed for traits like higher yields and disease resistance, while managing challenges like crop blights
Features:Expand your farm, sell harvests, and unlock vanity items like mansions and unique outfits.

Role

Project Management

Coordinated a multidisciplinary team to seamlessly integrate core systems such as genetics, weather, research, quests, disease management, and the in-game shop. Managed project timelines and deliverables, ensuring milestones were met without compromising quality.

Acted as a bridge between the development team and the client, balancing the client’s vision of a genetic simulation.

Anticipated potential roadblocks and implemented solutions to minimize delays and ensure smooth workflows. Monitored teamproductivity and communicated with the team lead and the client as necessary to prioritize critical tasks during crunch times. Utilized Trello to organize and track daily project tasks, ensuring seamless workflow management and team alignment.

QA And Testing

Rigorously tested the genetic manipulation mechanics to ensure trait inheritance behaved as intended. Performed extensive functionality tests across all game systems, ensuring each feature operated as expected. Conducted regression testing to verify that previously resolved bugs didn’t reappear after updates or new implementations. Collaborated closely with the development team, providing clear and
actionable bug reports, complete with steps to reproduce issues.

Game Design

Helped in balancing gameplay difficulty to provide a rewarding yet challenging experience. Worked closely with the client to transform their genetic farming ideas into a functional, engaging simulation. Found placeholders and final assets like SFX like sound effects that match the project needs.
